Hey there Aerosmith. Peace out, Aerosmith.
The iconic Boston rock and roll band has today (May 1) confirmed what’s been teased now for weeks — a massive farewell tour of North America that puts a big fancy bow on 50 years of music. “It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT!” the band declares. “Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.”
The Peace Out Tour includes The Black Crowes as openers and hits 40 cites, including a December 31, New Year’s Eve homecoming gig at TD Garden in Boston. The tour kicks off September 2 in Philly and wraps January 26 in Montreal.
Unfortunately, drummer Joey Kramer will not be joining Aerosmith on this final run, with the band stating: “While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”
General ticket on sale begins Friday (May 5) at 10 a.m. local time via ticketmaster.com, and VIP info can be found at aerosmith.com/vip. Get all the dates below, as well as a special video announcement.
