Don’t look now, but Boston Calling is only a few short weeks away. The Memorial Day weekend music festival at Allston’s Harvard Athletic Complex has unveiled its daily set times, and we can start planning accordingly. Boston Calling, which has earned praise for its gender diverse lineup, recently unveiled its Tivoli Audio Orange Stage lineup, where homegrown bands hold court all weekend; now we know what time everyone will be performing across the fest’s quartet of stages.
As usual, the festival does a pretty good job of spacing things out; no small accomplishment with more than 50 bands and artists performing over three short days.
On Friday afternoon, New England folk-rock artist Alisa Amador is the first to perform at Boston Calling 2023, taking the Happy Valley Red Stage at 1:45 p.m. And Sunday night, Paramore closes things out with a headlining set starting at 9 p.m. on the Green Stage.
There’s plenty of action and notable timing in between — including homegrown risers GA-20, Mint Green, and The Q-Tip Bandits getting attention on the Blue Stage; the reunited Yeah Yeah Yeahs taking on the Red Stage ahead of the Foo Fighters next door on the Green; and The Lumineers graciously allowing us to leave early on Saturday and beat the traffic — so check the full list of set times below.
