Jethro Tull, The Seven Decades Tour, October 28
The Saturday before Halloween around Boston usually finds young bands doing cover sets as their legendary heroes, and chances are there will be a Jethro Tull tribute somewhere in Allston, Cambridge, or Jamaica Plain. But this year we’re treated to the real thing as the progressive rock icons bring The Seven Decades Tour to MGM Music Hall at Fenway on October 28. Ian Anderson and crew are in town showing off 23rd (!!) studio album RökFlöte, which drops this Friday. The title translates to “rock flute,” in case you were wondering, and that’s very on-brand; watch and listen to recent single “Hammer on Hammer” below. Tickets go on sale Friday (April 21) at 10 a.m. local time.
