Hey, we’re burying the lede here, but that’s fairly appropriate for a gig headlined by Show Me The Body. As the New York City hardcore punk band rolls into Boston to play The Paradise Rock Club tonight (March 21), we’re hitting Commonwealth Avenue early to catch the set from Jesus Piece. The rising Philadelphia metal and hardcore band last month unleashed a relentless new single called “Tunnel Vision,” a ferocious beast that drummer Luis Aponte says “is as close to a Jesus Piece experience as you’re going to get without standing in front of us.” But now we get to do just that, and “Tunnel Vision,” alongside new single “Silver Lining” and whatever else from Jesus Piece’s forthcoming second album, …So Unknown, due next month, should sound massive on a cold Tuesday night. Show Me The Body’s World War Tour, supporting last year’s Trouble The Water album, also includes Scowl, Zulu, and TRiPPJONES, so there’s plenty of noise to go around.
SHOW ME THE BODY + JESUS PIECE + SCOWL + ZULU + TRIPPJONES :: Tuesday, March 21 at the Paradise Rock Club, 967 Commonwealth Ave in Boston, MA :: 6 p.m., all ages, $25 :: Event page :: Advance tickets
