Editor's Note: As we noted earlier in our all-Irish V3 Weekend preview, Boston’s favorite sons Dropkick Murphys kicked off their annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition with the first of four hometown shows last night (March 16). But something new for 2023 was the stage, as Ken Casey and the lads posted up at the still-fresh MGM Music Hall at Fenway, bringing the Celtic punk ruckus to the corner of Lansdowne and Ipswich Streets. It was a proper way to embrace the holiday weekend, which continues for two more shows at MGM tonight and tomorrow before sliding up the street to close things out at the Citizens House of Blues. Any Dropkicks show is quite the spectacle, but especially around St. Patrick’s Day. Corwin Wickersham was in the house for Crossroads Presents documenting the sights that went with the sounds, and you can view select images from the show below.
