The Amplified Echoes Tour featuring Jimmy Eat World and Manchester Orchestra, with special guests Middle Kids

Teamwork makes the dream work, and this summer finds a host of indie stalwarts teaming up for double-headliner action. Jimmy Eat World and Manchester Orchestra join forces for The Amplified Echoes Tour, which hits MGM Music Hall on August 24. Be sure to hit up the far corner of Lansdowne Street early, as special guest Middle Kids — a brilliant band we’ve championed a lot here on our digital pages — will one day be headlining big rooms like these. Tickets go on sale Thursday (March 16) at 10 a.m. local time.

Ferxxo Nitro Jam Underground with FEID

First things first, it’s pronounced “Fercho.” And now that you can say it, you can party with it. Colombian reggaeton artist and Billboard cover star FEID brings his alter-ego’s party to MGM Music Hall on May 31, and nothing will be “Normal” along the strip. The Boston date is right in the middle of a 29-city tour produced by Live Nation, and we can’t help but wonder if this show might set the stage for a larger gig one day at the ol’ ballpark next door. Tickets go on sale Thursday (March 16) at 10 a.m. local time.

The Mega-Monsters Tour featuring Gojira and Mastodon, with special guest Lorna

When this beastly tour was first announced back in January, we gave it the Band in the USA treatment. But that August 20 show at MGM Music Hall sold so fast, a second date has been added for August 21, meaning the Mega-Monsters get an overnight stay in our unsuspecting city. Mastodon are on the road showing off the ambitious Hushed And Grim, which the Atlanta hard rock band unleashed as an 86-minute double album in October 2021 through Reprise. Gojira, meanwhile, bring stateside the French metal band’s April 2021 album Fortitude, released by Roadrunner. And we’re definitely not sleeping on New Jersey deathcore band Lorna Shore, who opens all the shows on this tour. Tickets for this new date go on sale Friday (March 17) at 10 a.m. local time.
