Robert Smith is coming. Look busy.

The Cure have announced their first North American tour since 2016, unveiling 30 dates dubbed the “Shows of a Lost World.” The tour begins May 10 in New Orleans and wraps July 1 in Miami, with three shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, three shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and a June 18 twirl at Xfinity Center in Mansfield.

Tickets go on sale via a Ticketmaster Verified Fan program, and registration is open through March 13 at 10 a.m. ET. Hit the link for all the details, but rest assured, Smith has your back, writing in an all-caps email to fans:

“THE CURE HAVE AGREED ALL TICKET PRICES, AND APART FROM A FEW HOLLYWOOD BOWL CHARITY SEATS, THERE WILL BE NO ‘PLATINUM’ OR ‘DYNAMICALLY PRICED’ TICKETS ON THIS TOUR”.

As Slicing Up Eyeballs notes, a number of new songs have been played in recent Cure shows in Europe last fall, and Smith has been teasing the band’s forthcoming 14th studio album, Songs of a Lost World, for some time. Given the name of the record and the name of this tour, it seems release could happen this year, maybe even before the Massachusetts date.
