Sound On Sound is returning for its second edition later this year, and the Connecticut festival has today (March 7) unveiled its 2023 lineup. Headlining the September 30 to October 1 fest at Seaside Park in Bridgeport are Red Hot Chili Peppers, “Connecticut’s native son” John Mayer, and Alanis Morissette. The undercard is solid, with Trey Anastasio Band, Hozier, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lord Huron, Dispatch, Mt. Joy, Steel Pulse, Joy Oladokun, Margo Price, Gin Blossoms and others set to perform.
Here’s word from the fest on this year’s changes, which can also be viewed on its homepage: “Sound On Sound 2023 will deliver a massive reconfiguration of the festival experience from last year’s event: Including more space (doubling the festival footprint), a redesigned and relocated festival site with delineated walkways for ease of movement within the grounds, three times as many food and beverage vendors, upgraded restroom facilities (flushable restrooms throughout the entire festival site), lighting and directional signage enhancements across the venue and parking lot areas, and increased mobile connectivity and coverage through the placement of additional portable cell towers.”
The general ticket on-sale goes live Thursday (March 9) at noon local time, and general admission passes start at $179 to $189 for single-day passes, and $279 for a two-day pass. Get more info here.
The festival is organized by Founders Entertainment, who operate Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City, and Live Nation Connecticut.
