We’re bracing for a heavy dose of The National over the next few months. The New York band are set to soon release ninth studio album First Two Pages of Frankenstein, out April 28 via 4AD, and then swing our way with an appearance at Boston Calling Music Festival over Memorial Day weekend, part of a larger North American tour that also plays Westville Music Bowl in New Haven on August 3. To get us all worked up, the boys hit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this past Friday (March 3), playing a new one called “Tropic Morning News.” It’s a track that really moves, with some sexy trumpet action toward the finale, and should sound pretty fantastic across the open-air music festival circuit this spring and summer. Feast those eyes upon it below, and scan through all the upcoming National dates, which wrap with a big show at Madison Square Garden in August.
