Massachusetts may be trudging through the frosty doldrums of February, but Boston Calling is already heating up.
The May festival today (February 23) announced the daily lineups for its Tivoli Audio Orange Stage, which will host 12 homegrown artists over the course of Memorial Day weekend. Boston Calling debuted the new performance area last year, making it the festival’s fourth stage at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston.
The schedule lists four performances per day, starting with sets from Little Fuss, Blue Light Bandits, Summer Cult, and Brandie Blaze on Friday, May 26. Najee Janey, Actor Observer, Coral Moons, and Chrysalis pick up the action on Saturday, May 27; while Couch, Ali McGuirk, Sorry Mom, and Workman Song will close out the festival on Sunday, May 28. Coral Moons and Ali McGuirk have waited especially long for their time on the Tivoli Audio Orange Stage; both acts were booked to perform at last year, but were later cut from the programming following delays from a severe weather evacuation.
A handful of previously announced New England performers do not appear on flyer for the Tivoli Audio Orange Stage, suggesting that they will perform on one of Boston Calling’s three “main” stages instead. That includes Neemz, GA-20, Q-Tip Bandits, Juice, Alisa Amador, and Mint Green.
