A R I Z O N A kickstart a new era with the buoyant ‘Moving On’

After a few years spent collaborating and laying relatively low, A R I Z O N A have returned in all their capital-letter, spaced-out glory with their first new original track since 2019. It’s called “Moving On,” it’s a buoyant electro tune that has a slight throwback dance-pop quality, and it’s billed as marking a new era for the New Jersey trio, who have signed to Fueled By Ramen.

The “Moving On” video finds the band out in Round Rock in their namesake state, with the clip directed by Owen Brown (ZHU, Bob Moses, Apple Music) and featuring 300-by-300-foot dry riverbed land art from Jim Denevan, in collaboration with Navajo Nation and his son Brighton.

“‘Moving On’ embodies what the past four years have been like – dancing and crying through all the ups and downs of life, love, work, and uncertainty,” says keyboardist David Labuguen. “The video symbolizes what A R I Z O N A means for us, and what we hope it can be for other people: A place where misfits and outcasts can belong. A safe space for all of our humanity. A beacon of hope for everyone who wants to give up and feels like they can’t keep going – we’ll be alright if we keep moving on.”

Sage advice. A R I Z O N A have a healthy amount of live shows on the horizon, including a tour opening for Quinn XCII, which kicks off May 4 at MGM Music Hall in Boston. Hit “Moving On” below and check out all the live dates as you scroll down.
