After that initial wave to start the year and following a brief lull over the past few weeks, it seems like music festival announcements are picking up again. The latest to jump into a crowded field is Sea.Hear.Now, the annual seaside fest going down September 16 and 17 at North Beach Asbury Park and Bradley Park in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
The lineup is headlined by The Killers and Foo Fighters, with support from Greta Van Fleet, Weezer, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Mt. Joy, Sheryl Crow, The Beach Boys, Tash Sultana, Bob Moses, The Breeders, Sunflower Bean, Living Colour, Royal Blood, and more. See the full lineup below.
There’s also a surf component, and here’s what that’s all about, via the press release: “Surf returns with the North Beach Rumble surf contest, taking place between the Surf and Sand stages and will feature the best surfers from the East Coast competing in a team format. The teams, captained by professional surfers Cam Richards and Sam Hammer, will compete in multiple heats with the winning team awarded for the most wins based on overall style and creativity. Teams will also feature big wave surfer Will Skudin and legendary ladies Cassidy McClain and Jamie DeWitt, as well as Jersey’s Rob Kelly and Montauk’s Pat Schmidt.”
There is a pre-sale for tickets that begins Thursday (February 9) at 10 a.m. local time, “with a public on-sale to follow with any remaining tickets,” according to organizers. Sign up for the presale code over at seahearnowfestival.com. Get all the ticket info on the homepage as well.
