The Stage at Suffolk Downs announces Re:SET weekend

Last month news broke that The Bowery Presents was opening a new outdoor music venue called The Stage at Suffolk Downs, the site of a shuttered racetrack in East Boston. Now we have our first confirmed live events at the space, and it’s pretty solid: Re:SET weekend will take place June 16 to 18, and feature three outdoor mini-festivals headlined by Steve Lacy, LCD Soundsystem, and boygenius.

The lineups beyond the headliners are wild: June 16’s Steve Lacy show will also feature James Blake, Toro y Moi, and Fousheé. June 17’s LCD Soundsystem party includes Jamie xx, IDLES, and L’Rain. And June 18’s boygenius event welcomes Clairo, Dijon, and Bartees Strange.

Those shows are part of the larger Re:SET series that features the same rotating lineups that same weekend at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City and Merriweather Post Pavilion in Washington, D.C. Located at 525 William F McClellan Highway, The Stage at Suffolk Downs can host up to 8,500 concert goers.

Here’s word from Bowery about the shows: “Re:SET was conceived as an artist and fan friendly alternative to the standard summer concert experience. …each weekend will see three cities in the same region hosting, with each Re:SET headliner playing each city on consecutive days. The concept provides artists a respite from the cookie-cutter summer itinerary of sheds and amphitheaters, while fans get a leisurely day that features full sets from every artist, on one stage with no conflicts. The weekend will also feature food and drinks from local restaurants, bars, and breweries that reflect the
character and community of Boston.”

Pre-sale registration begins today at 11 a.m. ET, and after an artist pre-sale and local pre-sale, tickets to the general public go on sale February 10 at 10 a.m. Hit resetconcertseries.com for details.
