Alex Edelman readies ‘Just For Us’ for a two-week hometown run

Over the course of the past year, Alex Edelman has taken his one-man show all over the world, and in turn, has been met with rave reviews and international critical acclaim. Now, after globetrotting with his tour de force, he’s bringing it home where, at least for two full weeks, the show is just for us.

As announced earlier this week, the Brookline native will be bringing us on a bonafide journey of comedic proportions during his two-week run of Just For Us at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, for a total of 14 performances from April 11 to 23. Starting last March, Edelman began a critically-acclaimed run of the show at New York City’s SoHo Playhouse, and since then has brought it to a few different spots, including runs at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington D.C. He’s currently across the Atlantic at Menier Chocolate Factory in London until February 26.

“Boston is where I’m from, where I incubated as a comedian, and the city that means more to me than anything else,” says Edelman. “This run isn’t just an excuse to sleep in my too-small childhood bed, but to finally bring the show – after New York, DC, and London – home.”

Tickets for the Boston run go on sale via Boston Theatre Scene on Friday (January 27) at noon ET.
