If we could have it our way around these parts, Bob Odenkirk would be, at the very least, in a top three ranking for “Man of the Year” every year. But when it comes to the prestigious honor as bestowed by Harvard’s Hasty Pudding organization, it seems as though 2023 is the year our “Odenking” will officially be crowned.
As announced on Thursday (January 19), the Better Call Saul and Mr. Show star will become the latest recipient of the legendary Harvard accolade, and is slated to christen the coveted Pudding Pot in person with a celebratory roast at Farkas Hall on February 2, in addition to the evening’s overall presentation.
This year is already looking promising for Odenkirk as in March he embarks on his latest series role on AMC’s Lucky Hank. But 2022 harbored a titanic creative effort from the comedian actor and author, who not only wrapped up his illustrious six-season run as Saul Goodman on the smash-hit Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul — after suffering a heart attack on set the previous year — but he also published his New York Times best-selling memoir Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama.
Tickets for the roast and award ceremony are on sale now.
