Dicky Stock dons a badge to police the new Dropkick Murphys video

Via Facebook

For those familiar with the many facets of Boston comedy, Dicky Stock has embedded himself in the very fiber of what makes the scene so rich. Now, he’s making more moves that, in a way, bring parts of his own creative universe full circle.

If you happened to check out the recent music video for the Dropkick Murphys rendition of the unpublished Woody Guthrie track “Cadillac, Cadillac,” which premiered on Wednesday (January 11), you may have noticed a familiar face donning the drip of Boston’s boys in blue. That’s right, folks — aside from the boys in the band, joined on the track and the video by Sammy Amara of The Broilers, the star of the video is Stock himself as he traipses through the city on a police scooter in hopes of doing some finger wagging at a couple driving around in a sleek Cadi, which is ultimately stolen by Dropkicks’ frontman Ken Casey.

In a fun little turn of events, if you remember the storyline of the late Kim Strubell and Larry Nabisco (may the characters rest in eternal peace), Casey allegedly worked with Strubell’s father at the The GAP at the Hanover Mall. So this video appearance may just be a bit of a “full circle” feeling for Stock and his all-too-realistic imaginary couple (who we miss very, very much).
