It’s been a little while since Marlon Wayans graced the stage at The Chevalier Theatre, but as he readies to make his return, by no means is he phoning it. In fact, you could say he’s fiending to come back with his latest hour.
As announced this week, the youngest of the storied Wayans family will be bringing his Microphone Fiend tour to Medford on March 11. It will mark his first trip back to the area since 2021, and his first time back at The Chevalier since 2018. Since his last trip to town, Wayans has stayed busy touring, as well as on the big screen with roles in films like On The Rocks, the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect, and The Curse of Bridge Hollow on Netflix. He’s also put in the work on a few TV and streaming projects like Bel-Air, Marlon Wayans Presents: The Headliners, and Oh Hell No! with Marlon Wayans.
Welcoming heavy hitters back to town is always a treat, but it’s often just as big a deal when artists mark their big debut on one of the city’s most legendary stages, and that’s just what we’re hoping happens for Kenny Sebastian. Making his way to The Wilbur on April 8, the Indian comedy standout is sure to pack quite a punch with his first taste of the Wilbur stage, fully loaded with an introspective and cutting observational wit. With an Amazon Prime Special (Don’t Be That Guy), a YouTube web series (Starboyz), as well as some writing and producing credits, including Sketchy Behavior and Chai Time with Kenny, Sebastian has seemingly had his hands in a little bit of everything, which only feeds into his unique perspective while on stage.
You can access presale tickets to all of these shows right now via The Regulars presale, and by using the code VANYA, before they go on sale to the general public on Friday (January 6) at noon ET.
