Eugene Mirman and friends at City Winery
There’s no place like home for the holidays, and there’s no place like City Winery for Eugene Mirman’s annual holiday show. Back for another year, Mirman returns to home turf after a fairly active year on the road and the Bob’s Burgers camp with a lineup full of his top-notch comedy comrades (just as the show title promised) and what we can pretty much assume is his usual tendency of pulling some sort of fast one on us with a special guest or two. Eat, drink, be merry, and show support for Mirman’s new comedy record label, Pretty Good Friends Records, in the process.
Saturday, December 10 at City Winery, 80 Beverly St. in Boston, MA :: 8 p.m. :: Tickets are $35 to $50
Al Park’s album recording at The Rockwell
As one of the region’s most consistently grinding comedy talents, it’s only fitting that Park marks a career milestone at one the most well-regarded spaces in the area. Combining his penchant for observation, detailed storytelling and a hearty dose of self-deprecation with the comfy setting of The Rockwell is a bear guarantee to make for one hell of a Saturday night.
Saturday, December 10 at The Rockwell, 255 Elm St. in Somerville, MA :: 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. :: Tickets are $20
Phil Rosenthal at The Wilbur
As a man of many creative hats, Phil Rosenthal has curated quite the live experience for showgoers. Chats about comedy, food, his book, maybe a reference to Everybody Loves Raymond here and there — he’s leaving everything on the table, and it’s nearly feedin’ time with the longtime creative powerhouse.
Sunday, December 11 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. :: Tickets are $28 to $48
