Editor’s Note: Welcome to V3 Weekend, Vanyaland‘s guide to help you sort out your weekend entertainment with curated selections and recommendations across our three pillars of MusicComedy, and Film/TV. It’s what you should know about, where you need to be, and where you’ll be going, with us riding shotgun along the way.

MusicThe Sheila Divine at The Paradise

If the night before Thanksgiving is when we all pile into the shitty bars of our hometowns to see the jackoffs we grew up with, then the night after Thanksgiving is reserved for chosen family to come together and celebrate amongst beloved company. The Sheila Divine have stepped up to provide the honors tonight (November 25), holding court at The Paradise Rock Club to lead a stellar bill alongside Valleyheart and The Rupert Selection, the latter of which we featured earlier this week for the homegrown trio’s new psych-grunge cruiser “Astronauts.” And needless to say, Aaron Perrino is psyched: “Some of my all time greatest memories have been playing at The Paradise so we are super excited about this one,” he writes. The band has also been taking requests, so get yours in before doors later this evening, and prepare to sing-screams all the songs you know and love, surrounded by all your friends.

THE SHEILA DIVINE + VALLEYHEART + THE RUPERT SELECTION :: Friday, November 25 at The Paradise Rock Club, 967 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston, MA :: 7 p.m., 18-plus, $20 :: Event info :: Advance tickets

Comedy: Josh Gondelman at Laugh Boston

Speaking of reunions and homecomings, Josh Gondelman is back in town, as the Stoneham native and writer for Desus & Mero and Last Week Tonight posts up for four shows over two nights, Friday and Saturday (November 25), at Laugh Boston in the Seaport. Here’s how we broke it down in this week’s Mic’s Up: “Much like college students making their way home for holiday break, the region’s comedy scene oftentimes gets flooded this time of year with locally-grown comics making their way back home for a bit, and while it’s a treat to have Josh Gondelman home at any point, having him home for the holidays feels even more special, and we can only hope that his warm and toasty demeanor doesn’t make us feel too comfy as we try to stave off a post-feast food coma.”

JOSH GONDELMAN :: Friday November 25 and Saturday, November 26 at Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston, MA :: 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., $25 :: Advance tickets

Film/TV: ‘Bones and All’ in theaters

If the rock or comedy show isn’t too appealing heading into the post-holiday part of the long weekend, then a trip to the cinema may be just wha the doctor ordered. And our doctor usually prescribes a heavy dose of Timothée Chalamet, regardless of our ailments. Our beloved beautiful boy stars in Luca Guadagnino’s new period romantic cannibal road film Bones and All, which film editor Nick Johnston reviewed earlier in the week. Catch up on his detailed and in-depth take via the link, and peep the quick-hit synopsis: “Love blossoms between a young woman on the margins of society and a disenfranchised drifter as they embark on a 3,000-mile odyssey through the backroads of America. However, despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their differences.” Cool. Here’s the V3 synopsis: We simply have no choice but to stan.
