Thursday, November 3 to Saturday, November 5 at Off Cabot Comedy Club, 9 Wallis St. in Beverly, MA :: Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. :: Tickets are $25
Laura Severse at Laugh Boston
She claims it may not be as big of a deal to us as it is to her, but seeing Severse, as someone who has put in the work time and time again over the years, make their debut at one of the biggest comedy spots in the city is truly something special to witness, and even if you get to the show and you aren’t super familiar with her work, you’ll quickly understand why she is where is. The only downside is that we don’t have more time with her that night.
Saturday, November 5 at Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston, MA :: 7:30 p.m. :: Tickets are $29
Nate Bargatze at Wang Theatre
A new hour, a new setting, and the same ol’ Bargatze in all the best ways. The Tennessee native’s ascension in the comedy world isn’t shocking at all, but still impressive given the very straight-forward, no-frills approach he’s maintained throughout his career. Not to mention, it’s a rarity to find a generally clean comedian hit the level of stardom Bargatze has achieved, but with each new special he releases, it’s not hard to realize why it’s happening.
Saturday, November 5 & Sunday, November 6 at Wang Theatre, 270 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 7:30 p.m. :: Tickets are $39.75 to $99.75
David Cross at The Sinclair
He’s just shooting the shit and seeing what sticks, but regardless of if the new batch of material is fully formed yet, Cross has continued to further cement his place as a bonafide legend in the stand-up world. His refusal to keep it chill while gleefully dissecting and eviscerating everyone in his path (at least those most deserving of it) has kept his words in our daily lexicon, but his ability to balance that with a nearly poetic delivery puts him in an elite class.
Sunday, November 6 at The Sinclair, 52 Church St. in Cambridge, MA :: 8 p.m., 18-plus :: Event info
