It’s sad to say, but move over Chuck E. Cheese, because there’s a new rat king coming to town. And that is the one and only Theo Von.
As announced earlier this week, the all-star comic with the thick southern drawl and elite-level mullet is making his going coast to coast for a little bit of northeast winter action with one night at Medford’s Chevalier Theatre on March 2, sandwiched in between an inhabitance of the Wilbur stage on March 1 and 3, as part of his Return Of The Rat tour. When he’s not gripping audiences with his stories of mischief and absurdity, Von can be found hosting the wildly successful This Past Weekend podcast in addition to contributing his commentary and colorful perspectives on other shows like The Joe Rogan Experience, Your Mom’s House and many more. In addition to his podcast work, his debut hour-long special, Regular People, premiered on Netflix in 2021.
But before comedy’s most enticing guinea pig dealer makes his way to town, TJ Miller will take center stage at The Wilbur on January 28. Aside from his podcast, Cashing In with TJ Miller, the embattled former Silicon Valley star recently released a full comedy special, Dear Jonah on YouTube.
Making his Wilbur debut, Stavros Halkias leaves his mark on the legendary stage with a one-two punch on February 25 as he brings his Fat Rascal Tour to Tremont Street, jam-packed with the off-the-cuff, multifaceted brand of comedy that has made him a consistent crusher on stages across the country. In addition to his role is the Tres Gatos feature film Salesmen, Halkias is best known as the co-founder and former co-host of the wildly successful podcast Cum Town, as well as his basketball-centered cast alongside Sam Morril Pod Don’t Lie, and his twitch series Stacy Solves Your Problems. He also released his first special Live at The Lodge Room earlier this year.
A round up of some certified comedy killers coming to town wouldn’t be complete without the news of SNL and Sandlerverse legend David Spade making his way to Medford for one night at the Chevalier on March 10. It’ll be Spade’s second time taking the Chevalier stage in as many years, although he now has a new stand-up special, Netflix’s Nothing Personal, to his credit ahead of his return to the area. When he’s not on stage delivering his observations of everyday life in the world around him, Spade can be heard as the co-host of Fly On The Wall, the podcast he shares with fellow Studio 8H alum, Dana Carvey.
Tickets for all shows can be accessed now with presale code VANYA, before they go on sale to the general public on Friday (October 21) at 10 a.m. ET, with the exception of the TJ Miller show, which goes live the same day at noon ET.
