Laugh It Out at Manninen Center For The Arts

Some issues are no laughing matter, but join host Bethany Van Delft, along with the powerhouse comedy of Kendra Dawsey, Tooky Kavanagh, Kristina Feliciano, and Izzy da Rosa as they bring a cavalcade of laughs and light to shine on issues affecting race, the queer community, and inclusion in a stand-up setting. Following the show, a Q&A session with the local comedy stars will draw an even more intense focus on topics that encompass the conversation of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.

Wednesday, October 12 at Manninen Center For The Arts at Endicott College, 406 Hale St. in Beverly, MA :: 7 p.m. :: Tickets are $10 (Free with Endicott Student ID)

Jo Koy at Wang Theatre

From L.A. to The Philippines, Jo Koy has not only curated a loyal fan base with his gut-busting takes on fatherhood, pop culture, and continuously working on himself. He’s also helped to bring cultures together with humor and a sincerity that is pretty rare to find and build on these days. While certain types of comedy may not be for everyone, if Koy has anything to say about it, he’ll hold the door open for you if you’re willing to take the ride with him and experience a meshing of nations and stereotypes that help us remember that maybe we’re not all that different from each other after all.

Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16 at Wang Theatre, 270 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 7:30 p.m. :: Tickets are $66 to $81

Pete Holmes at The Wilbur

A homecoming (or dear we say, a “Holmescoming”) is never not a great occasion, and when that homecoming is for none other than Lexington native Pete Holmes, who brings a new hour to The Wilbur for one night only, it’s just all that much more special. Always one to challenges traditional thought and ways of living, Holmes’ commentary on the absurdities of the human race have been sorely missed in the stand-up cipher, and with a whole lot of that in the atmosphere to draw inspiration from, we can only assume that this show is not to be missed.

Sunday, October 15 at The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston, MA :: 7 p.m. :: Tickets are $27 to $50

Fortune Feimster at Academy Of Music Theatre

The sweet and salty allure of Feimster’s comedy still remains at the top of the pile after years on the grind, as the Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar standout’s deeply personal and largely upbeat approach keep the party going through the perspective of a new hour in NoHo. Regardless of topic, and whether it’s an observation or one of the unfairly funny stories from the archive of her mind, Feimster is going to bring it to you upfront, keeping it real, eloquent, dangerously sharp and heartfelt all at the same time.

Sunday, October 16 at Academy Of Music Theatre, 274 Main St. in Northampton, MA :: 8 p.m. :: Tickets are $35 to $55
