With every step of his comedy journey, Akaash Singh has only progressed. And while he continues that impressive ascension, he’s stopping off in Boston to set up camp and put his road-forged skills on full display.
Making his Wilbur debut in the young weeks of 2023, Singh brings his unfiltered and unapologetic style of stand-up to Tremont Street on January 14. In addition to his success as a nationally-touring comedian that has brought him to sold-out crowds in clubs and theaters all over the country, Singh has also found considerable success on TV screens, with roles in MTV’s Guy Code and Wild’n Out, as well as Netflix’s Brown Nation and HBO’s The Leftovers.
However, his biggest offstage success has come in the form of the wildly popular Flagrant 2 podcast, opposite fellow comedian and Guy Code alum Andrew Schulz. This past February, he self-produced and directed his first stand-up special Bring Back Apu, and quickly followed it up with The Crowdwork Special in March, which placed him in a rare spot as one of the only comedians to produce specials in back-to-back months.
