Therapy Gecko aims to make us ‘believe’ and feel better in Somerville

He may not be helping us save money on car insurance, but Therapy Gecko is making his way through town to help us figure out other stuff, so it evens out.

As announced earlier this week, Lyle Drescher, a.k.a Lyle Forever, will don the green gecko suit that has become a viral hit as he embarks on his “Gecking is Believing” tour this fall, with a stop planned for Somerville’s Crystal Ballroom on September 17.

Come for the sheer spectacle and experience, but stay for the twists and turns the evening takes as Drescher brings members of the audience up on stage for a bit of a “reverse Q&A” as he interviews them about their lives. Surely things will get deep, and possibly even a bit sad at times, but above all else, the naturally cathartic element of sharing experiences and stories will make for an exciting and unpredictable night – whether you’re in the crowd or the hot seat face-to-face with a quirky gecko who just wants to help while talking about “absolutely nothing” in the process.

Tickets for this show can be accessed now via presale by using the code VANYA before they are released to public on-sale on Friday (July 29) at 10 a.m. ET.
