Well, that was quick. We weren’t expecting Comic-Con to be effectively over just a day after it started, but like when Top Gun: Maverick dropped a preview at the last in-person event, it only took a brief surprise to topple the normal order of things. Good luck topping this, Marvel and DC, because all John Wick: Chapter 4 had to do to break the internet was release a single minute of footage on Friday night. Ask yourself: Barring a surprise preview for The Batman 2, which hasn’t even started pre-production, is there anything possibly on the slate that will rock your socks this fucking hard? Answer’s no.
Peep it, folks, and get that nitroglycerin ready for anybody in the crowd who might have heart trouble because we’re thinking it’s gonna cause palpitations:
Look, there’s no synopsis for this thing yet, but do you really need one? Here, we’ll try our hand at writing one for you:
“Keanu Reeves returns to kick ass and take names in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4,’ the continuation of the hit action franchise. After the tumultuous events of ‘Chapter 3,’ master assassin John Wick (Reeves) has been betrayed and finds himself friendless. His vendetta continues as he strives to take down the very system that’s been hunting him.”
See? It’s not that hard! And, importantly, it’s typo-free, unlike many studio press releases.
John Wick: Chapter 4 hits theaters on March 24, 2023. Go ahead and start cutting clips from the first three so you can make your Anime Music Video to Blur’s “Song 2” before this one hits.
