The creative force that Joe Gatto brings to the table may not be helping to fuel the Impractical Jokers machine anymore, but at least for one night later this summer, he’s bringing the high-octane comedy gold on the solo tip to Boston.
As announced earlier this week, the co-founder of The Tenderloins comedy troupe, and subsequently the Impractical Jokers empire, will be bringing his new stand-up show to Boston’s Wilbur Theatre on September 15.
Bluntly dubbed “Joe Gatto’s Night of Comedy,” the Staten Island native brings the same high-velocity comedy intellect and lust for laughs that we came to know and love during his time with The Jokers, as well as co-host of his podcast, Two Cool Moms which he currently captains alongside fellow comedian Steve Byrne.
Over the last few years, the improv veteran has also worked as part of the team on the TBS game show The Misery Index which first in 2019, as well as Impractical Jokers: The Movie in 2020, before announcing his departure from the group in December of 2021.
Fans have surely missed his contribution to the IJ party, but judging by the reception he’s received while performing stand-up since his departure, the happiness for his return to the stage has been significant to say the least.
Tickets for this show can be accessed now via presale by using the code VANYA before they are released to public on-sale on Friday (July 1) at noon ET.
