We simply have no choice but to stan a queen who drops a banger album in March, then follows it up a few short months later with a lethal new thumper fit for all our summer sizzle. That’s the move of Charli XCX, who fresh off the extended life cycle of Crash has teamed with Tiësto for a club-minded jam called “Hot In It.” Excuse us while we swan dive into it just ahead of the long July 4 holiday weekend.
OK, so technically, this is Tiësto’s tune, and it will be featured on the famed Dutch DJ and music producer’s forthcoming album. But we’re all just living in a world of XCX. And we all know why we’re here.
“I knew from the second I heard Charli’s cut on the song that it was going to be a smash, and it’s been amazing to see how everyone has been reacting to the message of the song,” Tiësto says in a statement. “The heat on this one is incredible, so excited it’s finally out in the world!”
Though she’s long in contribution to “Hot In It,” Charli XCX keeps it succinct in the press releases, adding, quite simply: “I’m very excited to get hot in it this summer.”
Same, girl. Same.
