Chris Tucker is in no rush with new hour at The Wilbur

Maaaaaan, here’s what’s up: Chris Tucker is making his way to Boston this summer, and we’ll give you three reasons why you should go see them. First, it’s on a Saturday. Secondly, you’ve got enough time to give advance notice your job. And third, you most likely won’t have shit to do.

Regardless of your circumstances, Tucker will continue his return to stand-up at The Wilbur Theatre on July 30. Having been right around seven years since his Netflix stand-up special, Chris Tucker Live debuted in 2015, it’s no secret that Tucker isn’t rushing this hour (see what we did there?), but given the comedic force that the Def Jam Comedy alum carries with him to virtually every project he’s a part of, it’s sure to be a top-notch gathering.

But even before Tucker heads to town, Rhys Darby will be making his way to the very same stage on July 9. The comedian and author will be making his way to Boston on the heels of his latest stand-up special, Mystic Time Bird, which premiered last year, and will present an all-new batch of material meshing his style of stand-up, sound effects, characterizations and observational wit.

However, not all the fun will be had in July, with Miranda Sings bringing her multi-faceted comedic powerhouse to The Wilbur stage on August 20. In addition to her series Haters Back Off and her one-hour special, Miranda Sings Live…You’re Welcome, both of which can be found on Netflix, the multi-talented actor, author and internet personality’s eccentric comedic presence can also be seen featured in projects like Angry Birds 2, Ralph Breaks The Internet, and Escape The Night.

But even as the temps start to trend toward the fall months, DeRay Davis is making sure to keep The Wilbur stage nice and warm with his latest hour of stand-up on September 23, while critically-acclaimed comedian and social commentator Ziwe brings her sharp perspective to Tremont Street exactly a week later on September 30.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via a special presale if you subscribe to The Regulars program, before they hit presale on Thursday (May 19) at 10 a.m. EDT by using the code VANYA – with the exception of the Miranda Sings show, which is on sale to the public now.
