Our alt-pop lord and savior Charli XCX rolls into town this week for what should be a smokin’ show at Boston’s House on Blues on Wednesday (April 20). And to get us all worked up into a daydream lather, she dropped the stunning video to fresh party anthem banger “Used To Know Me,” the latest dazzler from last month’s Crash album.
The Alex Lill-directed video takes Charli on a wild trip through eras and scenes through the imagination of a wild sleepover party, and bounces around proper worship with creative direction from Imogene Strauss and choreography from Nathan Kim. It all stacks up to a pretty intense visual. The track is the story of a post-breakup revival, and barrows a familiar roll from Robyn S.’s ’90s house classic “Show Me Love.”
This is an era where Robyn is reimagining Neneh Cherry, and Charli is utilizing Robyn S. What a time to be alive. Get into the exquisite “Used To Know Me” video below.
