The world continues to be a dark and miserable place, but where Alfie Templeman resides seems to forever be coated in a sunny and uplifting glow. The teenage British artist provides the necessary dose of positivity and optimism today (April 13) with a fresh-cut tune called “Colour Me Blue”, and it’s a vibrant shade of love-lifted jangle-pop fit for morning spring. “‘Colour Me Blue’ is a love song about that wave rushing through you that you feel when you fall in love,” Templeman says, and who are we to doubt it? Co-produced by Alfie and Kieran Shudall (Circa Waves), “Colour Me Blue” is the latest taken from Templeman’s forthcoming debut album Mellow Moon, due out May 27 via Chess Club Records/AWAL.
