Weak friends, they come and go. Weakened Friends, well, they’re doing the same right now, but under far cooler circumstances. The beloved Portland trio have a bit of a homecoming gig tonight (April 12) at The Sinclair in Cambridge, and there are a few lovely layers to it: It marks the band’s final show on tour supporting We Were Promised Jetpacks, which kicked off over a month ago, and serves as their last New England gig before crossing the Atlantic for a headlining run across the United Kingdom and Europe, with support from Snake Eyes. Showing off their November ’21 album Quitter, Weakened Friends are out on the road and doing the damn thing, for audiences national and international, and we couldn’t be prouder. Get down the Harvard Square tonight and welcome them home, see them off, and show the love.
