Amy Schumer has been up to quite a bit since the last time were graced with her no-holds-barred brand of comedy genius. Well, this summer, we’re about to get a brand new dose of it.

Bringing her latest hour, dubbed the “Whore Tour,” to Boston’s Wilbur Theatre for two shows on August 18, Schumer marks her first headlining shows in the area since visiting Medford’s Chevalier Theatre in December 2018, and her second time hitting the Wilbur stage since last August, when she opened for John Mulaney on the first night of his sold-out Wilbur run. Since her last trip here, Schumer has embarked on a myriad of projects, including her 2019 stand-up special Growing, 2020’s Expecting Amy, and most recently, the starring role of Hulu’s Life & Beth, ahead of her gig as host of the 94th Academy Awards.

Additionally, both Tom Segura and Chris Rock have added additional dates to their respective stops in the area, with Rock adding a 7:30 p.m. show on April 1 at The Wilbur ahead of his “Ego Death World Tour,” while Segura has added a 7:30 p.m. show of his own on November 18 at Chevalier Theatre as part of the third leg of his “I’m Coming Everywhere Tour.”
