Fusing the name of past projects — ReBelle Diaries and Money Dreaming — the new EP from the Boston and Cambridge rappers counts coins, checks, and clever bars, as Duch Rebelle and King Fiya reflect on their fortunes. “Y’all be on that pay-for-play / we be on them planes,” ReBelle raps on “Per Diem,” tapping into the lap of luxury.
The duo’s riches leap from their rhythms throughout the four-track EP — but then again, Money Diaries‘ greatest riches are its rhythms. That’s one kind of wealth that won’t fit in the bank.
