Editor’s Note: With society’s gradual re-opening and our overall return to normalcy, there has been a deluge of tour announcements. Band in the USA keeps you updated on the shows you need to know about, and just who might be soon coming to town.

One of the first things we do right at the New Year is open a file for our favorite songs of the year, and update that file over the next dozen months with each new jam that comes across our pages. The first entry for 2022 arrived courtesy of Boy Harsher and the Northampton duo’s sterling slice of New Order-inspired electronic-pop called “Autonomy.” The track was one of many on the January soundtrack to Boy Harsher’s meta-horror film short The Runner, and after select screenings across the country, Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller will take the OST out for a proper summer tour.

“Clearly back on our bullshit,” writes Boy Harsher yesterday (February 21). “Don’t miss us in the middle of the U S of A. Chicago hello xoxo… Honestly Texas in July sounds like a dream.”

Things kick off July 16 in Brooklyn, and wrap July 30 in Dallas, with a pair of shows in Canada (something we haven’t seen a lot of lately), a trio of appearances in Chicago, and a handful of Texas dates. Get all the dates below (poster by Brett Labauve; photo by Jordan Hemingway), and listen to “Autonomy” on repeat from now until forever as we count down the long road to Best of 2022 season.
