There’s been a lot of talk about the best shows on Netflix and Hulu lately, but for our money the most gripping rom-com drama flashing across our screens has been the unfolding video trilogy from Zolita. The new-pop sensation dropped first installment “Somebody I Fucked Once” back in September, and the storyline of a forbidden high school love — the popular cheerleader falling for the artsy outsider — cast against a backdrop of ’90s-kissed alternative popped off to the 24 million views on YouTube.

This week, the second chapter unfolds in the cinematic “Single in September” video, and Zolita and Gia (Tatchi Ringsby) are reunited, but not without the usual perils of young love. The captivating video was produced, directed, and edited by Zolita; watch it below.

“I think it’s so common for people to believe that your first love is going to be your only love,” says Zolita. “I wanted to capture that feeling of trying so hard to hold onto someone, even though you’re in such different places now.”

Soak it all in below, await the final chapter coming soon, and remember the kids are still very truly alright.
