Perhaps he’s been busy elsewhere, but it’s been a long few years waiting for Kevin Hart to pull out all the stops on Boston’s biggest stage again. Thankfully, that wait is finally over come summertime, and he’s bringing with him an arena-sized reality check.

As announced earlier this week, Hart is launching his first major stand-up tour in four years with a 33-date trek dubbed The Reality Check Tour, which brings him to TD Garden on Thursday, July 28. It may not be his first time gracing the Garden stage, but it will be his first show in the city since 2018, when he brought his extensive Irresponsible Tour to a few spots around the commonwealth — the last of which, in fact, being the Garden.

Since then, Hart has continued on his ascension from comedy superstar to worldwide megastar actor and entrepreneur as he has starred in a handful of hit movies including Night School, The Secret Life of Pets 2, Jumanji: The Next Level, and Fatherhood among others, the latter of which was shot partially in Boston. He also returned to the stand-up special game in 2019 with Irresponsible before releasing Zero F**ks Given on Netflix in 2020.

In addition to Hart’s highly-anticipated return to the city, it’s been announced that Impractical Jokers star James “Murr” Murray will take the stage at The Wilbur on Friday, April 8, with Nimesh Patel slated to do the same on Saturday, July 23.

In addition to his newly announced batch of stand-up dates and his work on Impractical Jokers, Murray can be seen as one of the stars of The Misery Index on TBS. He’s also an international best-selling author, having penned the Awakened trilogy, Don’t Move, and The Stowaway.

As for Patel, you can catch him as a regular stage staple at The Comedy Cellar, or as a writer for A Little Late with Lilly Singh on NBC. Aside from opening for Chris Rock and Aziz Ansari, Patel has achieved success as an Emmy-nominated writer, with credits that include The Academy Awards, Saturday Night Live, The White House Correspondent’s Dinner, and Awkwafina.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed via pre-sale starting today (February 16) at noon ET using the code VANYA, before going on sale to the general public on Friday
