Editor’s Note: Even in the dead of winter, there is never a shortage of comedy shows to check out around Boston, as homegrown talent, national headliners, and open mics galore highlight the calendar. As live entertainment slowly makes its way back into our social lives — mask up! stay safe! — we always want to make sure you know about cool stuff going on in the world of comedy. Enter Mic’d Up, our ongoing weekly series that details the best live comedy shows to consider as you head out and about. Below find our rundown for this week, through Sunday (February 6).

Jesus Trejo at Laugh Boston

Regardless of the topic, Jesus Trejo just approaches it differently in the best way possible. Balancing an unfiltered perspective of the world with an infectiously upbeat delivery, Trejo’s stage presence is as comforting as it is entertaining, and his general approach is strikingly introspective.

Thursday, February 3 to Saturday, February 5 :: Thursday at 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. :: Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston :: Tickets are $25 to $29

Brad Williams at The Wilbur

It might seem like a cliché thing to say, but nobody delivers like Brad Williams. Meshing multiple elements of physical and audible comedy, Williams continues to operate on an intriguing and engaging level that is increasingly relatable to a wide-reaching audience. Whether it be at the hands of takes on fatherhood and the world around him at large, or his self-deprecating short jokes, making your way to The Wilbur to catch Williams in action is always worth it.

Friday, February 4 :: 7 p.m. :: The Wilbur Theatre, 246 Tremont St. in Boston :: Tickets are $27 to $35

SmartLess Podcast at Wang Theatre

Does this podcast have the hi-jinx and comedy you might find in shows like Arrested Development, Will & Grace or Bojack Horseman? Not necessarily, but it does have the devilishly sharp minds that powered their respective time slot, on top of so much else. Shedding their acting personas for down-to-earth discussion and raw humor, the Wang stage is at the disposal of Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett, and the pleasure is all ours.

Friday, February 4 :: 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. :: Wang Theatre, 270 Tremont St. in Boston :: Tickets start at $64

Will Noonan at The Comedy Scene

We could use a little breath of life around Gillette Stadium right about now, and there’s nobody better than Will Noonan to provide it. Bringing a dose of his widely-adored observational wit and expertly crafted stories, New England’s favorite “brotha man” is always a sure bet to bring you a solid night — or in this case, a pair of nights — of comedy gold.

Friday, February 4 and Saturday, February 5 :: 8 p.m. :: The Comedy Scene, 200 Patriot Place in Foxborough, MA :: Tickets are $20
