Tsu Surf might just be a new regular in the Boston music scene. After hopping on MonaVeli’s tune “TRUTH,” the East Coast emcee now finds himself rapping alongside Dorchester’s Young Riot on “Gang Ties,” released last Friday (December 3). The track expands the story and struggles Young Riot began to explain with his 2020 album Poolside, offering wise words about keeping your mind right through troubling times.

“Dealing with so much trauma [and] ups and downs…it can affect your mentality,” he tells Vanyaland, saying the track testifies to the value of maintaining a solid support system.

And you know he means it — his Poolside track “Kennedys” literally spells out his eagerness to cut off anyone who’s not wholeheartedly in his corner. Tsu Surf’s already there cheering him on — what are you waiting for? Tune in below.
