Editor’s Note: Usually, the best part about the comedy scene blossoming in and around Boston this time of year is that there is never a shortage of shows to check out, as homegrown talent, national headliners, and open mics galore make their way through and around the area. But this year just feels different, as live entertainment is slowly making its way back into our social calendar. We always want to make sure you know about cool stuff going on in the world of comedy, so check back each week for our ongoing Mic’d Up series, detailing the best live comedy shows to consider as you head back out. Below find our rundown for this week, through Sunday (November 28).
Lenny Clarke: November 24 at Giggles Comedy Club
Having a smattering of Boston Comedy titans grace the stage at Giggles is a weekly occurrence on good ol’ Route 1. But to have a full-on cavalcade of the region’s best, with old school mixing with new school for a bit of pre-Thanksgiving shenanigans? Well, that’s far less common. Take in this year’s sold-out edition of Pie Night with the likes of Clarke, Orlando Baxter, Carolyn Plummer, Kelly MacFarland, Joe Yannetty and many more to take off a bit of the holiday stress.
Wednesday, November 24 at 7 p.m. :: Giggles Comedy Club, 517 Broadway in Saugus, MA :: Sold out
Will Martin: November 27 at The Rockwell
Second takes are fun, but final takes are even better. Making good on his original plan to shoot his special, and ultimately his final stand-up performance at The Rockwell, Martin’s show about death may be called Total Loss, but rest assured making your way to Davis Square to catch the Franklin native’s swan song will be a total win.
Saturday, November 27 at 8 p.m. :: Rockwell Theatre, 255 Elm St. in Somerville, MA :: Tickets are $18

Jimmy Tingle: November 27 at Regent Theatre
In case you were looking to decompress from the inevitable family feast debates during the holidays, this might not be the show for you. However, what Tingle brings to the table is much more than just another angle on politics and hot button social topics of the day. He delivers his perspective with a type of creative precision that has been curated and polished for over four decades, balancing social responsibility with quick wit and comedic intellect that will leave you laughing and thinking long after the house lights come on.
Saturday, November 27 at 8 p.m. :: Regent Theatre, 7 Medford St. in Arlington, MA :: Tickets are $25
Sebastian Maniscalco: November 27 at TD Garden
Slaying a TD Garden crowd is nothing new to Sebastian Maniscalco, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be pumping the brakes when he makes his way back to the biggest stage in the city this weekend as part of his Nobody Does This tour.
Saturday, November 27 at 8 p.m. :: TD Garden, 100 Legends Way in Boston, MA :: Tickets are $64 to $143
