‘Tiger King 2’ gets a trailer and release date for all you cool cats and kittens

We’ve spent most of the week thinking about the sequel to Dune. Turns out, we should have been thinking about the next chapter of Tiger King.

Netflix dropped a new trailer and release date — November 17! — for the hit true crime mini-series documentary, and let’s just say it has all the cool cats and kittens out there clawing at the details. The story picks up where the original season of Tiger King left off, and takes us all back to the characters that dominated our lives in the very early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hell, Tiger King was pretty much the first thing we all watched together during those first few days of lockdown, and now 18 months later, fairly inexplicably, Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin, and all the sketchy-ass others are back in our lives.

While our lives feel relatively the same, that’s not the case for the main players of Tiger King.

Here’s what Netflix has to say about it:

“We thought the mayhem was over. But we’ve only scratched the surface. ‘Tiger King 2’ premieres November 17. With Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo, the Emmy-nominated saga continues its twisted course with ‘Tiger King 2’ as newfound revelations emerge on the motivations, backstories, and secrets of America’s most notorious big cat owners. Old enemies and frenemies, including Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson return for another season of murder, mayhem, and madness. Thought you knew the whole story? Just you wait.

Paws out.
