Over the summer Mondo Cozmo dropped an electrifying single called “Black Cadillac,” and it’s been swimming in our headspace ever since. Now, to prop up a string of 2020 East Coast dates that includes a March 14 appearance at The Sinclair in Cambridge, Josh Ostrander is back with a yearning new track called “Generator.” And it’s just as lovely.
The lush, orchestral single was first heard on ABC drama The Good Doctor, but those without any sort of ailment can hear it via the video below.
“I shot the ‘Generator’ video in my guest bedroom,” Ostrander says. “I spent $98.41 on lights and shit to make it this colorful thing but it looked dumb so I used one light behind me and shot it in black and white on my phone. I burned Palo Santo wood for the smoke and my room still smells like it. I think ‘Generator’ is one of the better songs I’ve ever written and it’s very personal to me, so it felt fitting to shoot the video by myself in the room I recorded it in.”
Tickets for all the below dates except the Mohegan Sun gig go on sale Friday (December 13) at 10 a.m.
