Soccer Mommy is about to hit the road this fall to play shows with Vampire Weekend and Wilco, and just before she heads off, Sophie Allison has blessed us with a sparkling new song. It’s called “Lucy”, and it’s her first new music since last year’s breakout LP Clean. Allison says the track “is a really fun song for me because it has a dark, evil vibe. It’s a song about struggling with inner demons and your own morality, but I masked it with this scenario of being seduced by the devil. I’m really excited to share this with everyone because I think it shows a different side of my writing.” After she finishes up her tours, catch Soccer Mommy playing the Coca-Cola Sun Deck at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe on November 16.
