A decade ago this month, Scottish indie rock band We Were Promised Jetpacks released their debut album, These Four Walls, in the United States. Last night (July 23), they brought the LP’s 10-year anniversary tour to The Crescent Ballroom in downtown Phoenix. The tour kicked off at The Sinclair in Cambridge on July 9, with the band posting a throwback to their show ten years ago at Great Scott in Allston, and wraps up in Brooklyn at the end of the month. Supporting WWPJ on this tour is Glasgow’s Catholic Action, who is set to release their sophomore album later this year. A minor flooding incident in The Crescent Ballroom caused a 90-minute delay at the start of last night’s show, but the crowd stuck it out and we were all duly rewarded.
