After a five-year hiatus, The Dangerous Summer released their self-titled album in early 2018 and set out to rediscover their love for touring and writing music. This May, the Maryland band kicked off the "Mother Nature" tour, in support of their newest album of the same name set for a June 14 release via Hopeless Records, and that run pulled into Phoenix's Valley Bar on Saturday night (June 8). Accompanying them on this tour, and the show this past weekend, are New Jersey-based rock band Modern Chemistry, and Baltimore’s indie/alternative group Have Mercy, who cut their set short after their frontman fell ill and sought medical treatment (he's expected to make a full recovery). This downtown Phoenix stop on the "Mother Nature" tour was an enjoyable evening for those in attendance, at least, and Boston readers can catch the show June 19 at ONCE in Somerville.
