If you're a Boston-based cinephile, this is undoubtedly one of the most exciting times of the year for you, as the Independent Film Festival Boston has returned with one of their strongest line-ups ever. Running from April 24 through May 1 at the Brattle, Somerville and Coolidge Corner Theatres, there's so many great movies showing at this year's festival that we've had to split our preview up into three parts. We published our first preview on Tuesday, covering the first few days of the festival's line-up and you should check back soon for the third piece about what's in store over the next week or so. For now, here are some choice cuts from Saturday and Sunday of the festival's programming. Tickets and more information are available at the IFFBoston website.

Ritesh Batra’s Sundance hit looks to be the kind of quiet romance we typically swoon for, which follows a young Mumbai street photographer who asks a young lonely young woman to pose as his partner so that he can comfort his ailing grandmother, who worries that he’ll never marry. Of course, the two start to fall in love, despite their class differences, and the film offers an interesting look at love between people in nearly impossible-to-overcome circumstances. The film was quickly snatched up by Amazon following its premiere, and if anything, it looks to be a rousing and beautiful little movie that may delight its particular audience.
