Editor’s Note: There were a few ways to celebrate 4/20 on Saturday, but few provided musical treats quite like Sleep’s two-night sold-out stand at Portland’s State Theatre. Taking over both Saturday and Sunday nights (April 20 and 21) for both the stoner metal and religious weekender crowd, the doom metal power trio from San Jose made a holiday of it at the Maine venue, marking a year to the day since the 2018 4/20 release of their forth album, The Sciences.
