Attention, comedy fans!
Dust off your laughing caps, and get over to The Comedy Studio in Somerville this Sunday night (March 31) to cheer on some of the best homegrown talent the city has to offer at the “Up Next! Audition” showcase for Comedy Central.
Being part of the first step in a process that could change the course of any hard-working comic on the bill is a big deal, and club owner Rick Jenkins feels that this year’s lineup is as good as it’s ever been, and he’s excited to see how some of the club’s favorite faces will fair in this year’s showcase.
“I love seeing the acts develop over the course of the year, and I love seeing the comedians getting better and better,” says Jenkins. “To have the chance to show that off is very gratifying.”
This year’s performers are: Zachary Brazão, Mark Gallagher, James Huessy, Tooky Kavanagh, Diana Lu, Niki Luparelli, Peter Martin, Andrew Mayer, Katlin McFee, Nick Ortolani, Chris Post, Corey Rodrigues, Emily Ruskowski, and Ryan Shea.
