Tomorrow is the first day of spring, and now we have a breezy indie disco anthem to soundtrack our confident strut down the street while we breathe in all that fresh air. Rather surprisingly, it comes from Northern Ireland’s Two Door Cinema Club, who return with “Talk”, an airy, funked-out dance jam that serves as their first new music in three years. “I love the pop thing,” Two Door Cinema Club’s Alex Trimble, says, via DIY. “I love experimenting and going to different places, I love doing things that are a little bit wonky and I love the idea of doing something we haven’t done before, why can’t we do all of those things at once? That’s what it was, doing whatever felt right… It sounds like Two Door Cinema Club — not a Two Door Cinema Club there’d ever been before but that’s what I love.
