Editor's Note: Gregory Alan Isakov is a storyteller. So when the indie-folk singer-songwriter -- born in South Africa, raised in Philadelphia, and currently residing in Boulder, Colorado -- rolled into Royale for two shows this past weekend, he commanded the Theatre District venue's attention with ease. Isakov was in town promoting last month's Evening Machines record, and like other stops on the tour, the crowds were plentiful. "Can’t begin to describe how lucky we feel to have had such an amazing sold-out tour," he tweeted a few days ago. "We owe you so much gratitude along with our incredible support acts."
