‘when the party’s over’, Billie Eilish will turn out the lights

Call this the eye of the storm. We’ve already spent a good deal of 2k18 vibing out to Billie Eilish’s SOTY contender “you should see me in a crown”, and we’re still 16 days out from the 16-year-old alt-pop prodigy’s sold-the-eff-out appearance at Boston’s House of Blues. So this cool, relaxed intermission needs a soundtrack, and it arrives today with Eilish’s delicate and soulful new single “when the party’s over”. The piano ballad was produced by Eilish’s long time collaborator and big brother Finneas O’Connell, and it show another dimension of the young performer. We already have an arsenal of singles and last year’s Don’t Smile at Me EP in our playlist wheelhouse, but Eilish’s debut full-length is expected to hit sometime in 2019. In the meantime, pull back the curtains and watch the tranquillity outside as ‘when the party’s over’ tumbles gracefully below. Featured image via High Rise PR.
